OFFICE HOURS, OFFICE VISITS SCHEDULING, AND CONSULTATIONS Office hours are 9am to 5pm Monday through Thursday. Appointments Every effort is made to schedule the right amount of time for each patient so that there will be a minimum of delay. Dr. Nevarre and his staff are dedicated to providing the best care possible, and in doing so, feel that the patient's concerns, questions, and anxieties must be dealt within a caring and comprehensive manner. That means, in cases, scheduling problems will occur. If there is a delay, patients are asked to recognize that they, too, may need extra time. If time is a problem, patients are invited to call ahead of their appointment to determine how the schedule is running. Rest assured that Dr. Nevarre and his staff respect the importance of their patient's time and make every effort to adhere to the schedule. A Consultation Visit
Held prior to scheduling surgery, where patients have the opportunity to consult first with the doctor. Questions about his/her surgery are answered at that time, along with an opportunity to become familiarized with the staff. After the doctor's consultation, the patient may arrange to schedule surgery, or if preferable, call later to schedule. Fees are discussed at this visit. For out-of-town patients, some of these details may be arranged by telephone. For cosmetic and most reconstructive surgery, the consultation fee paid at the time of the visit may be credited towards the surgical fee if surgery is scheduled within three months. Before Surgery
Prior to surgery, a pre-operative visit is scheduled. Occasionally, this visit may be combined with the consultation visit. At this time complete verbal and written instructions are given to the patient, as well as a pamphlet pertaining to his/her procedure. This pamphlet will contain before and after surgery instructions, copies of the consent forms, and other useful information. Our patients are welcome to call at any time for clarification or questions which need answering prior to surgery. At the pre-operative visit your general health is verified, and if needed laboratory work and other appropriate test are ordered. Also pre-operative photographs will be taken and Dr. Nevarre will answer any remaining questions that you may have.
