SURGICAL FACILITY
This facility has been licensed by the state of Pennsylvania as an Ambulatory Surgical Center as well as having national accreditation by the American Association for the Accreditation of Ambulatory Surgery Facilities (AAAASF). Our facility is included in the same category as a hospital outpatient surgical centers and free-standing surgical center. When considering surgery, patients should be insistent on this type of credentials not just in the terms of health, and peace of mind, but also for possible insurance reimbursement.
Before the outpatient plastic surgical enters, surgery was performed in hospitals with costs ranging between two to five times more that you will find today. The reductions in cost have come without a sacrifice of quality of health or patient treatment.
For those who wish it, or for other health reasons that require a hospital setting or general inhalation anesthesia , this is available through one of our local hospitals. We prefer to use Windber Hospital because of its national recognition for its compassionate, kind, and patient focused delivery of care.
